Who We Are

We are a community of change-seekers learning to become a force for good in honour of those who came before us and in service of those who come after we’re gone.

Our Mission

To usher in a new era of liberation for humanity by empowering, educating, and supporting those who want a better world for all.

THE GOOD ANCESTOR DIFFERENCE

Inner work meets social change.

We teach you how to heal your past and navigate your present so you can shape the future.
We help you heal through the power of books by BIPOC, disrupting a white-centered publishing industry one author at a time.
We bring together like-minded individuals—both BIPOC and white—who unite under the mission to be a force for good in their lifetime.

Meet Our Founder.

Hi! I’m Layla Saad, author, educator, and founder of Become A Good Ancestor. I’m here to help you heal yourself and create change in the causes you most care about.

You may be wondering how I got into this.
My journey has involved a career as a life coach, a viral Instagram challenge, a New York Times best-selling book, and the most incredible people along the way. But it all started with my love for books—and being Black.
